PLANNING

All local planning applications come before the Parish Council for scrutiny and comment. We aim to reflect grassroots feeling to the planning approval authority, and are happy to receive representations from residents about any planning matter.

Wall

The Parish Council does not grant final Planning Approvals. This is the responsibility of North Kesteven District Council (NKDC) - they take council and resident comments into account when assessing applications.

 DO I NEED PLANNING PERMISSION?

Some jobs may be 'permitted development' which can be done without planning permission. For a project-by-project guide to the rules click here. For a householder's interactive guide  click here. The rules mean that much permitted new and replacement paving in front gardens may need to be water permeable - including driveways and parking areas. For a householder's guide click here*.

Always check your project with the NKDC planning team before going ahead.

A guide to the Party Wall Act can be found here*.

Planning can be complicated. The NKDC planning team are there to help and advise as well as to receive planning applications -  give them a ring or get in touch via their website.
